Now, I know this is not your average whiskey sour, but that’s kind of the whole point, we are beyond average. If we haven’t proven that to you yet, this Ginger Lime Whiskey Sour will absolutely will!
You may have noticed that we usually don’t make a lot whiskey cocktails around here, but recently we decided to start branching out and we have zero regrets. Let me let you in on a little secret, you won’t have any regrets either!
If you like ginger and you like whiskey, there is no way you can go wrong with this delicious cocktail.
Here’s what you’ll need to mix up your own Ginger Lime Whiskey Sour:
Whisky (we used Jim Bean Bourbon)
Limes
Fresh ginger
Ginger Beer
When it comes to the ginger beer, I keep hearing that the Cock n’ Bull ginger beer is the only way to go. After hearing this, I bought a few different brands to test out. And I found that the brand of ginger beer you use all depends on what your drinking. With this particular cocktail we went with Bundaberg Ginger beer and I was quite impressed. But my favorite way to pick out ginger beer is whatever bottle I think is the coolest looking. While that may not be the most sophisticated way to pick out products… it hasn’t failed me yet!

This cocktail is just pure art. It looks refreshing, is refreshing and gives you something that really makes you stop and take a breather… which everyone deserves every once in awhile! Self care is important folks!
After you mix up your delicious Ginger Lime Whiskey Sour, get to sipping in your beautiful library, surrounded by walls of leather bound books and the strong scent of mahogany. 1 shot of whiskey
Juice from one full lime
Minced fresh ginger- use as much as you’d like. We used about 1 teaspoon per drink.
ginger beer- the amount will vary depending on how large your glass is.
First, fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the whiskey, lime, minced fresh ginger. Shake well and pore mixture over crushed ice. Fill the rest of your glass with your ginger beer and garnish with a lime wedge. Now, enjoy!
